1957 Mercury Montclair Convertible with Turnpike Cruiser motor option
Great driver but not perfect. Its why its a high $20's car ( reserve ) not a $35k car :)
Car was from Texas and still in Texas. Older restoration on a great Texas body.
Interior is nice and in very good shape.Orig classic white paint.
Exterior has normal dings and scratches from actually driving the car. Also has a few flaws in the paint. Passenger side window is cracked. Chrome is driver quality. Some pits and chips. Some original and some redone in 2001.Driver window needs adjusted ( doesn't close perfectly straight )Comes with a new NOS trunk seal that needs glued on/installed.
Comes with full cruiser shirts. The expensive nice ones, not cheapies.
Top is fine but has wear and tear. Works fine.
Drivtrain :
Motor is orig 368 / 290hp ( ECU6015 orig block )Trans shifts great
Radio does not work. Tires are 8.50x14. Whitewalls do have some white crackling.
Speedo ribbon/needle works sometimes and sometimes doesnt. Could be cable or speedo gear.
Needs shocks ( old ) and a new tranny rubber mount ( old ).
Exhaust is newer.
I can provide a link with a lot more pictures so just message the seller to ask.
Again, this is a very nice presentable car needing a few things to be perfect, but it's priced accordingly. I saw one not as nice as mine sell for $ 37000 recently at an auction. It also was aMonterey and did not have the Turnpike motor.
$1000 Deposit due at auction end. Remainder is due within 48 hours or at pickup ( whichever is first ).
Car is also for sale on Dallas Craigslist( and others )and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
Im overseas friendly and will assist in shipping. This would be a killer ride at the Power or Summer meet !Thank you.
