PRIVATE PARTY SALE - Brief Video on YouTube -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPwNF6VnfZQ&feature=youtu.be
Celebrate this beauty's 50th birthday!
Car is original with necessary maintenance to keep it running and driving great. As noted, has new brakes, shocks, fuel pump and tires.
Car painted only to make it look new. No accidents. Car garaged and very well maintained.
Original interior in great shape. All original except new radio installed (can be easily removed with original plate reinstalled). Original radio still in place, unaltered. Original dash plate where new radio was installed (where AC vents would go) is in the car.
Original dash. Original gauges. Original top. All in good condition. Just a slight bit bit of peeling from typical wear on the convertible top at the very lower edge below the rear window (see photo). Clear rear window.
Power windows. All work. All interior lights work.
Original Engine - 351 Windsor V8. 2 BBL Carb. FMX Automatic transmission. New tires, brakes, shocks, fuel pump. Less than 60,000 original miles.
No accidents. Other than regular maintenance items, paint and a new radio, car is all original. Paint is factory code matched in color.
Car very well-maintained to keep it running and driving great. Only notable items that are considered slightly beyond typical wear include:Has one oil leak in the Transmission that needs repair. One (driver door) Door lock button cover is missing (see photo).Convertible top in great shape other than some slight peeling at the very bottom edge below the rear window (see photo). Rear window is in great shape and clear.
New photos taken today.

Under-carriage shows typical surface rust that becomes visible on most new cars in month, but no apparent deep rust. Photos taken in its original form so as not to mask anything. Seller will have car detailed prior to delivery if buyer so chooses.
Only existing mechanical issue is a transmission oil leak. Transmission works excellent. Otherwise, car is in perfect running condition. Extremely well maintained with any repairs made as they've come necessary.
Original owner's son planned to keep it forever, but a housing change reduced his garage size and no longer has room to keep the car. Currently at nephew's house in garage. Very difficult decision to sell this car, which is a piece of the family's history.
This is the only reason the transmission oil leak has not yet been repaired. Car hasn't been driven lately, just started and moved a few feet every few weeks. Seller can have oil leak repaired or buyer can choose to take it to his/her own mechanic. Other than this, no other apparent mechanical issues that need attention. Car runs and drives great.
Really is a beautiful car.
To clarify, the paint is new and looks new. Otherwise, while the car has been very well-maintained with repairs made as necessary to keep it in good running condition, aside from transmission leak that has not yet been fixed. Please keep in mind, this car is not a rebuilt/restored car. Other than the items noted as being replaced recently, it is an original 50 year old car. Please don't mistake any comments above to mean that the car is "like new". For a 50 year car that is mostly all original, it is in great condition, but is still a 50 year old car that retains just about all of its original parts.
These cars are so hard to determine value, therefore we're trying the auction format to sell it at whatever true market value is (what someone is willing to pay). If interested, please make your bids so we can get a true idea of market value for the car. If it doesn't reach the reserve price, assuming there's enough activity to provide a clear reflection of market value, will certainly consider selling to the highest bidder. Thank you.
Great piece of history with very low original mileage.
NOTE: CAR IS LISTED THROUGH OTHER SOURCES. SELLER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY SHOULD THE VEHICLE SELL THROUGH THESE OTHER SOURCES. IN THIS EVENT, ANY EXISTING BIDS WOULD HAVE TO BE CANCELLED.
Note: Second listing. Car previously sold to an aggressive bidder who won the first auction, then e-mailed the next morning to say he would not be proceeding with the purchase. Indicated he could not get to Los Angeles from Ohio to complete the purchase?? Unfortunately, he knocked out other bidders that were within $100 and $200 of his bid. His loss is your gain. Please be sure you want the car before bidding. Gets costly to relist on E-bay. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Reserve price is set notably below what the final winning bid was in the last auction.
Clarification regarding the after-market radio. Original radio is still in place and unaltered. As the car does not have AC, the space above where AC vents would be located has been used to install an aftermarket Kenwood radio. Previously just a false panel. We still have the original panel. Radio can be easily removed with the panel re-inserted, if so desired to return it back to completely stock. Just need to remove the radio, reconnect the speakers to the original radio and snap the original false plate back into place.
