1976 Mercury Cougar
Description
76 Mercury Cougar XR7 survivor. This beauty just sits around as I have too many other cars and projects at the moment so I've decided to let it go. It is in great shape and has only 59,500 miles on it. 351 Windsor motor, automatic trans, power steering, power brakes and it was a factory AC car. The AC components under the hood were removed years ago and are long gone but you can pick up a compressor and condenser and put ac back in with no problem. It has headers and a dual exhaust. The interior is all original from carpet to headliner to seats, the drivers side has a couple of small tears at the seams. The paint is mostly original, it has had a couple of touch ups here and there. It shines great but does have its share of scratches and chips. The trunk has its original mat and side boards. Everything is rust free, all original sheetmetal, clean floors and trunk. It has some surface rust here and there but no rot at all. The brakes are good and tires are new Cooper cobra radials, 255/60-15 in the back and 235/60-14 up front. The Cragars are decent but not perfect. There is an aftermarket stereo and amplifier and whoever did the install has left a loose ground that I haven't had time to find so the gauges and panel light work intermittently. Overall it's a great classic that you can just get in and cruise with no worries. Mileage will go up as I drive it when it's nice to keep it fresh. Thanks for looking!!
