1953 MG TD Restored MGTD MG-TD
Description
This is an extremely solid TD that received a restoration over the last few years. Engine, transmission and brakes have been rebuilt. All wood in the body has been replaced by an Amish woodworker in upstate New York. Paint was done by a hobbyist and looks good from a few feet away, but needs to be wet sanded for a proper finish. Body appears to be rust free. Frame is extremely solid and also appears to be rust free.
Some of the chrome has been replaced and some is good used. Radiator shell is straight and has fair to good chrome. Windshield frame is excellent. Interior looks quite nice.....upholstery appears to be good, although it is used and not brand new.
Black wire wheels look terrific, but if you don't like them, I will replace them with silver wire wheels or original disc type wheels.
New items include tires, top, steering wheel, wood dash, side curtains (no frames), knock offs, brakes, carpets and various chrome items.
Engine number is XPAG TD2 16432 and frame number is 27474. Actual mileage is not known.
The car runs very well and has good oil pressure. It would make an excellent driver and is ready for the road!
