1948 MG TC Convertible 1250cc 4 Cylinder 4 Speed Manual
Description
Purchased this car earlier this summer. The owner had passed away and his widow asked if I was interested in buying the car. The engine and gearbox were out of the car but no one in the family knew why. I took the car to Twin Cam Sportscars in Sarasota Florida and had them check over the drive train before installing back in the car. Oil pan was removed and bearings were checked and everything looked great with the engine. When they pulled the gearbox cover off it looked like the gearbox had just been rebuilt so we think this is why the driveline was out of the car. Car starts first time and runs and drives with no issues. It has aftermarket turn signals fitted with a switch located under the dash and warning light and beeper for the turn signals. There seems to be several pieces of carpet missing so new owner should expect to buy a carpet kit for the car. I do have the front side curtains but the rears are missing.Chrome is in very good condition. The paint work on the car does have chips and light scratches in several areas the worse being on the front of the bonnet where there is a area of fine bubbles on the paint. The paint has a very nice shine to it. Interior is in good condition with some scuffs on door panels. Drivers door latch needs attention, it does close but has play in the latch. Is a few spares included, electrical items, gaskets etc. will box up and put in the car before shipping.
