Description

The T-series was a range of small body on frame roadsters that were produced by the famous British companym, MG. The first model, the TA, was first introduced in 1936 but production was halted by the onset of WW2. The TC was the first model produced after the war and was well regarded as the model that started the sports car crazy in the United States. It used the venerable 1,250cc pushrod engine with a 7.4:1 compression that pumped out... a solid 54.5hp. Despite only ever being produced in RHD, the cars were extremely popular around the world. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stunning 1948 TC for your consideration. Finished in classic British Racing Green, this car is in stunning shape. The body is extremely clean and excellent everywhere you look. Notable features include a classic radiator grill, black convertible top with side curtains, excellent chrome trim, silver wire wheels with rear spare, luggage rack, and wicker basket. The inside is excellent as well and features a parchment leather bench seat that is very clean. The wood dashboard is very nice and all the instrumentation appears to be correct. There are tons of charming features such as the classic badging and large leather steering wheel. The car runs very well and goes down the road with attitude. It is an excellent example. The 1,250cc engine fires up right a way and the 4-speed manual is easy to use. This car has been with its current owner for the last six years where it has been well cared for. There are tons of service records present and the engine was rebuilt in 2014. The car even won first place at Gilmore Car Museum at the Mad Dogs and Englishmen show!
