Description

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1954 MG TF 1250 for your consideration. This beautifully restored example is powered by the original, numbers matching, 1250cc engine that was rebuilt and refinished during the restoration. The 4-speed manual transmission was also restored and is in spectacular working condition. This car underwent a ground-up restoration that began in 2007 and was completed in 2008. The car was sold new in Ohio and was owned by two people previous to the... third owner who completed the comprehensive restoration. There are many documents and photographs that tell the story of the restoration all of the way from barn find-beautifully restored example. This example has won awards for its restoration as everything was restored to the original specification. The exterior was refinished in single-stage urethane British Racing Green which was the original color. Also featured on the exterior are chrome trim, bumpers, and grille. The panels show excellent fit and finish, and all glass and trim have been refinished as well. There are the chrome wheels as well as a new tan cloth top. This example is truly beautiful on the exterior and is as close to perfect as one can get. Inside the car, you will find tan leather and black carpeting which is all to the original colors and specifications. All gauges are in working order as is the rest of the features found on the inside of the car. On the MG TF, you will find distinctly unique octagon gauges that are a little feature that make the TF that much more unique. Although MGs had been available in the US since the 1930s, the brand's popularity saw an increase following the Second World War. The TF improved on older models by offering independent front suspension, rack, and pinion steering, and left-hand drive for the US market. In 1952 MG was the best selling import available in America. This example of an MG TF is not only one of the nicest to come through our doors but also one of the nicest you are likely to find. This is your chance to own a rare, desirable car that is appreciating in value and will always provide spirited driving.
