Description

This is a 1973 MGB GT. It has been off the road in storage since 2008. I got it outside Palm Spring, California with some other cars. As such, it is as rustfree as you probably find this side of a time machine. It has a beautiful body. Floors, rockers, lower panels, etc are great. A little rust bubbling in the paint on passenger side dogleg. But that and a few other little spots is it. Always buy the most rustfree car you can find and this is it. Not sure on history of car. Got it back to my shop and put battery to it, some gas from a jug and it fired right up. Left it at that. This is sold as a project car that will need to be gone thru. Looks like the previous owner was a B guy and took good care of this car. Nice clean engine bay. Recent brake calipers, some stainless lines, new brake lines, etc. The seats have been replaced with some new model seats that are in nice shape. They recline, are comfortable and are adjustable, unlike stock. Back seat is cloth. Both door panels are missing. Headliner in pretty good shape. Nice bumpers.Has aftermarket steering wheel, though the original is included, though its splines look beat. Plastic surround is off but included. Paint is flat and sunfaded from sitting in the Desert sunshine for years. It looks much better in pictures than it really is. As usual. So new paint is in order if you want to go to car shows. Rear hatch is locked and I coud not get it unlocked with the keys in the ignition. Non overdrive, Engine has an aftermarket freeze plug. Rear exhaust from mid car back is gone. This car needs work after sitting for years. You will not drive it home. Hopefully, it will not take much to get it up and running again down the roads. But it may. But if I was a betting man, I would bet the farm it will not take much. But I have been wrong before. Many times. But with a body as nice, as rustfree and solid as this, this is the car to take that gamble with. Full payment within 7 days of auction end. I can get this car delivered to Long Beach shippers for $250 if you are overseas
