1974 MGB. Drive it home. Runs very nice. Shifts well. Goes through all gears smoothly. The last 1/2 year of the chrome bumper models!
New Dunlop SP20 radial tires, original size. A new Robbins convertible top is being fit this week, as the weather warms up. New wiper blades. An original top boot, and a tonneau cover. Just changed a muffler mount, original type and the exhaust system is in good order. Fuel pump is new, and the starter motor.
The car isan older restoration. It was in storage for 5 years, and is now back out and 'on the road again'. I see all the front end bushings were replaced with the red neoprene type before being stored.
The Pioneerradio is not working. I checked that it was getting power but it is not coming on.
I leave that up to the new owner.
On Apr-19-16 at 19:16:22 PDT, seller added the following information:The new Robbins top is now installed. Nice to drive around with the rear window down. Very nice top.
The enine mileage is unknown. The previous owner did not know it, it was not on the previous Title, and I can't make any guarantees. The speedo could have been changed. Engine runs smooth, oil pressure is 55 to 60 lbs., and remains high even when warmed up.
There is a mark on the bottom left side of side of the drivers seat back. The paint is very good but not perfect. It is older and there are a few marks, but it has very good sheen and shows well. People comment on the car when I am out. This is a very good driver, not show level perfection but a car to be enjoy, drive and be proud of. Brakes work excellent. Gas guage is not reading right. It will most likely need a new tank float. All other gauges are working fine. I just replaced the rubber weather seals around both doors. I have a new horn to add, possibly 2, but one is now working. Everything else is good.
