The 1931 Essex Coupe is a marvelous car with many innovative features including an all steel body including the roof framing where steel replaces the traditional wood roof rails and are further stiffened by diagonal steel strips joined at the corners. The car is equiped with the optional steel wire wheels.The auto is powered by a 60 horsepower six cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission.The car is spacious - comfortable - and safe, as well as, mechanically built to exacting standards for it's day.This car was repainted with new black base coat clear coat finish. The car had no signs of bodywork ever done to it and no bodywork was required during the repainting of an extremely straight body. All of the exterior chrome was also replated before being replaced on the body.
