Description

TRUE STORY: Over the Summer a guy in a NEW black FERRARI 458 pulled up next to my 1983 Porsche 928s at a light and said "NICE CAR”.This 1983 4.7Liter V8 928s gets A LOT of looks. At 72,442 miles on the original odometer, It has VERY LOW mileage for a 30 year old car.

It is a BLAST to drive - Starts right up (new battery), strong acceleration courtesy of the 4.7L V8, the steering is tight and really hugs the turns.

See driving video taken just last week here:https://youtu.be/K6lHWpnMjRw

Or search "Driving 1983 928s on Navesink NJ 9/22/2018" on YouTube

(*Note: The video's sound quality in the video isn't great, the crackling noise is NOT the Porsche)

It was purchased by the first owner (of 3 I believe) in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1983 for $40,000. I purchased it from a private seller in Delaware a few years ago. In the last 3 years, the Porsche has had over $14,000 in maintenance repairs, enhancements, and upgrades. (I'm including itemized receipts in the photos section)

It has small dings on the nose and hood consistent with Its age, and the rear bumper shows fading, some splintering and wear. There are a handful of tiny dots of rust. I keep the Porsche in a garage and never drive it in the rain.

Headlights pop up perfectly on demand. The Continental tires are less than 2 years old and have A LOT of tread left - You WILL NOT need to replace them ANYTIME in the near future!

The interior shows fading and wear in spots, again consistent with the car's age. The Leather Power Seats are in good shape and very comfortable.

Recently had the Porsche professionally detailed so it is very clean inside and out.

The A/C doesn't blow cold, it blows ICE COLD - Last year spent $2,400 on a new Compressor, Evaporator Expansion Valve, and Sensors.(**Note Receipt in the photo section)

I've loved this car since Risky Business and Scarface and will miss it. Moving away and must downsize.I'm including a (new) leather dashboard cover that I had hand-stitched recently, but didn't get a chance to install. Hoping the new buyer will enjoy this car as much as I have.

Feel free to email with additional questions. Thanks for looking - Chris
