1951 Packard 80% restored from my Uncles estate New paint, interior, chrome.
Description
1951 Packard 200 sedan. My Uncle bought this car in 1970 and was his everyday car for 20 years and then his weekend car and then 5 years ago decided to be his restoration project. This car had never been in an accident and had but a few small dents over the years. No Rust ever and has no metal replacement anywhere. The car was always Packard Blue, and when he repainted it, he used a very similar color but it has a very fine metallic and it is 2 stage base coat, clear coat. The hood has been color sanded and buffed and the rest of the car will need to be done. The car will need a new wiring harness. I found 3 of the 4 sill plates and all of the outside window door stainless wrapped up and polished and the inside door handles window cranks after I took the pictures. The car will need a new windshield, I have the rear window and it will need a new seal. I can not find the side trim for the front fenders or the belt trim for the doors. I also could not locate the grill, but I will try to find out who did the chrome on the car and see if they have the missing pieces. So, if you don't see it in the pictures, it is not been located yet. The engine had been gone thru and has new rings, bearings and valve job. I know the starter and generator have been also rblt. I know nothing about the brakes, so assume you will need to do shoes, master and slaves. The interior is brand new and was sitting on the shelf wrapped up, I put everything in place to make sure it was all there. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call me @ 949-306-5390 . Thank you for looking at this auction and I also have his 2 1939 Cadillacs that I will be putting up for sale also.
