1974 Plymouth Duster 499cu Pro-street Full Interior/AC Car, 4-link rear
Description
For sale is a 1974 Plymouth Duster Pro-street car running a Bored and Stroked 440cu making it a 499cu with all good internals, and it has a monster sound with the electric exhaust dumps, along with being a monster in power. It has a Full Interior, Vintage Air, Power Steering, Mini Tubbed rear with a 4-link setup, 305/17in Drag Radials, and it is a cross between a Street Car and a Full Drag Car, so it's the best of both worlds.
You will have to copy and paste the two links below since EBay doesn't support the embedded YouTube video for some reason, so just copy and paste each link while adding the www to it.
Here is a YouTube video link of it running open and close exhaust. .youtube.com/watch?v=ihnYa98r7ao
Here is a YouTube video from this last Friday Night at the Ardmore Raceway where it did 6sec 1/8th mile times even with full interior, 1st driver, and slipping a bit off the line. .youtube.com/watch?v=JB_htnKt4UE
Here are the 499cu motor specs, and there are a lot of parts not listed and only about 300 miles on this motor/trans setup due to the 70 year old previous owner/builder only driving the car to town a couple times a month, and he is pictured below. The drag strip pics are from this last Friday Night, and I did about 25 runs in the high heat and several times went one run after another running straight through and waiting in line idling without getting above 200 degrees.
The car ran straight and true with No driving it at all, so the car is setup great, and it busted into the 6sec times while having some grip issues and my not timing the shift right while bouncing off the rev limiter, so i know there is an easy couple tenths that can be knocked of right there. This is a full interior and air conditioned car, so I was very pleased overall, and even happier it didn't have a single hiccup in the heat and consistent hard runs.
I am sure this will be an awesome car for the next owner, and will make a very reasonably priced introductory Street Car for the price and with how the car is setup.
Here are some motor specs on the less than 500 mile motor.
