1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible Barn Find LOADED AC PW PT PB PS Posi
Description
Barn find 1968 Pontiac Firebird convertible project car. This car has been sitting on blocks in a barn and in dry storage since 1989. I believe this car was originally a 350 car but it now has a 1966 YC coded 389 engine in it and a powerglide automatic transmission with dual exhaust. This car is loaded with many factory options. It has factory A/C, power windows, power convertible top, power brakes, power steering, 2.78 positraction rear axle, tinted glass, deluxe interior with center console, deluxe seat belts, rear antenna, and remote driver's side rear view mirror. The car is originally Mayfair Maize with a black deluxe interior. This car is complete and rolling. Engine is not running but I turned it over with a bar on the balancer bolt and it spins right over. The driver's side floor has some rot but nothing all that major. There is some rot starting in the left rear quarter (see pics). Rest of the floors and the trunk are solid. The rockers, frame rails, subframe, bracing, and the cowl are all solid. This car had a cheap Earl Scheib paint job in the late 1970's and it flaked off in areas leaving the sheetmetal to have some surface rust in areas. Car will need a convertible top. Doors open and shut beautifully. The original jack is still in the trunk as well as a few boxes of extra parts. Overall this car is a pretty solid builder and would be a great and easy project for someone. If you have any questions about this car, please call me at 609-320-8025. Immediate $500 deposit required with buy it now.
The car is for sale locally as well so I have the right to end the auction at anytime.
