1972 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ 455
Description
1972 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX SJ 455
Up for sale is a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ with a 455 cubic inch engine and a 400 turbo hydramatic transmission. Engine and transmission run really nice, the car has power. The intake manifold is not original, but the Rochester carb is. The odometer says 57,566 miles, however tiltle states exceeds mechanical limits so mileage is actually 157,566. The title is a duplicate because previous owner misplaced it. The title is clear. Car is originally from Tennessee. The body is solid, floors and trunk floor are solid as well. Only rust is just below where the vinyl roof is ( below rear window and on quarter panels) see pictures. There is a little bit of bubbling on the passenger side fender behind front wheel well. The Grand Prix is sitting on P225/70 R14 Turbo-Tech GT Radial tires with 14" Pontiac Rally Wheels. There are disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. The interior seems to be the original. The front bucket seats will need to be reupholstered. The back seat is in good shape with just one small tear. The door panels will need some attention. Both the carpet and headliner will need to be replaced as well. The dash is in really good shape, no cracks. Center console is in good shape as well, just needs a cover for the console door.
Some of the options on the car are: power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, power windows, power locks, AC( removed, but still goes with the car ), AM FM radio, power trunk.
The car was just removed from storage, and is considered to be above driver quality. The car has been repainted many years ago and paint is in fair condition. There are typical scratches, chips and door dings or dents. The front bumper and rear bumper are in good shape. The rear could be rechromed. The stainless trim also in good shape as well.
This is a really nice car and with a little TLC can be a nice collector car. I have more pictures available if you want to see them, just send me an email. If you have any more question please ask before you bid. I require $500 down payment due within 48 hrs of auction end. Remainder of balance due within 7 days of auction end.
