1968 pontiac lemans GTO CLONE

Description

1968 Pontiac Lemans/ GTO clone. I have owned this car for the past 33years. I am selling now due to disability. In 2001, this car underwent a body off restoration with a rust free southern frame. The paint is cardinal red base clear. Engine is a stock 1970 350 with turbo 350 trans with 43K miles taken from my 1970 Tempest. Miles on engine and trans are original and documented. All transmission seals and filter were just replaced and also new fuel pump, fuel filter, water pump, thermosta, shocks and emergency brake cables. Other than the edelbrock car, HEI distributor, and hooker headers the drivetrain is completely stock. It runs, drives and stops perfectly, does not smoke or leak and is easy to drive. The rear end is a rebuilt olds 12 bolt 3:23 open. It has power disc brakes, fast ratio 2.75:1 power steering bo, GTO sway bar and coil springs front and rear. Functional hood scoops, power top, hideaway lights, softray glass, gauges, dual gate shifter and hood tach. Everything works except the clock and windshield washer pump. Top is 6 years old with glass rear window and is in excellen, soft condition inside and out. Interior is very good overall shape. Rear bumper was re-chromed and in excellent shape. Trunk floor was replaced during the restoration. Unfortunately, both doors have some rust starting in the bottom corners as well as on the edge of the deck lid. (See pictures.)
