1962 PONTIAC CATALINA CONVERTIBLE BARN FIND DRAG CAR PROJECT

You are considering a very cool 1962 Pontiac Catalina Barn Find drag car. Recently dug out after sitting near 50 years. The car was bracket raced all over northern Ohio in the 60's and 70's mostly at Dragway 42 with many class wins. Otie's in Akron supposedly built the current engine. Original colors Belmar Red with a Tri-tone maroon Interior. Believe car was a 389 4 barrel automatic car. Currently has a 1963 36P 389 motor with tripower with a 3 speed manual on the tree! Car has not been started in 50 years, is not running, but also NOT seized! This Catalina has very nice solid floors and frame. There is some rust in tail panel edge, driver door botto, right front fender lower front. and a little in rear quarters before and aft of rear wheels. Trunk floor is solid! Trunk lid and pass door is solid. Another Catalina convertible was parted out and a lot of extra parts come with this car including the front and rear seats. original automatic steering column with steering wheel, hood, extra loaded drivers door, rear quarter trim panels, dash, original radio, and a trunk full of misc parts. Wheels are vintage 2 piece Keystones. Driver half roll bar in back seat. A early line lock is installed under hood. Rear diff has a unique traction bar welded to rear cover and has air bags in rear coil springs. Have a clear clean Ohio title. No Reserve! Please call 440 748 1500 for questions!
