1985 Pontiac Fiero
Description
I have owned this vehicle for over 30 years, purchased used in 1987 from the pontiacdealership with approx 12000 miles. I drove it for 6 years as my primary driver then it lived in my parents garage with my dad driving it occasionally for 5 years or. during that time the 4 cylinder motor blew and was replaced with a pontiaccrate motor. I became interested in the car again and took it too Ed Parks at the Fiero Factory in Toney Alabama and had a 4.9 Cadillac v8 conversion completed on the car. The original automatic trans was rebuilt, ac was converted to the new 134A and batter was moved to the front under the spare tire. I replaced the headliner and seats with Mr. Mikes Leather, converted the guage cluster to a very cool electric unit, spent a ton of money on a beautiful paint job. All the parts are new old stock or purchased from the fiero store. There is no radio as i was going to replace it, the headrest speakers (yes it has those so cool, were replaced with some sweet crutchfield units before i recovered the seats). There is no rust and ive spent somewhere around $30,000 since the conversion and driven the car about 1500 miles over the last 6 years, it has been sitting in a climate controlled garage but was moved to my home garage last year, where it is covered and protected. Wheels and tires are new although they were bought a few years ago, less than 100 miles on them. The car is one of the nicest Fieros and with the exception of the few tasteful upgrades appears original and turns heads. I have really enjoyed owning my very first car ever for most of my life, met my wife while driving it, went to college, my first jobs etc etc. But, I have lost interest, it just sits in the garage waiting for me to drive it. Its not perfect, in fact not driving it is probably doing it wrong but if your interested in one of these, this is an awesome place to start, you could easily convert it to just about any power train you like. It is used, the frame probably has 220K on it but you would be hard pressed to see it as almost every part has been replaced. I want to move it along, have no illusions its worth anywhere near what i have in it but most cars never are. Its a no reserve auction, pick up preferred but if you want to arrange shipping im happy to help at your expense. Title and extensive records in hand.
