You are bidding on a stunning 1972 Le Mans 400 Sport Coupe that has a freshly rebuilt #s 400 V-8, rebuilt Turbo 400 trans, fresh professionally done 2 stage Base/Clear Coat Urethane paint over a pin straight rock solid body, fresh 3.73 Posi-rear and more. Same owner for the past 38 years. I have been a Certified Professional Mechanic my entire adult life and am very fussy with the care of my vehicles. This is a very clean example of an Iconic American Muscle Car Classic. Here are more details.


The Details;

The body is arrow straight with crisp body lines. The paint/body was painstakingly Professionally completed over 2 years time with expensive mirror-glass Medium Blue Metallic Urethane 2 stage Base/Clear coat paint (never been in rain or wet since completed). All the chrome, trim are in excellent condition (the emblems were intentionally left off the car but are included in the sale in excellent shape). It retains the original Rally wheels with new Eagle ST radials truly a striking Appearance. The rear wing and sport mirrors were added. The original Black Buckets seat interior is very nice with the original front seats being redone, new carpets, dash was recovered with upgraded orig clock was upgraded to an orig factory tach, back seat is original, factory console, all the ac duct work plumbing remains intact. The chassis, original floors, trunk pan are all solid zero rust. Engine compartment is super clean.


The Mechanics;


The factory 400 was totally rebuilt with stock bore original pistons re-ringed, new bearings, new Edelbrock Aluminum manifold (orig manifold included) carb is new 750 Holly 4bbl, upgraded electronic ignition (no points) runs excellent turn-key everyday driver with lots of power. Rebuilt 3 speed Turbo 400 Automatic transmission, with a fresh Posi-rear w/3.73 gears, dash was out I upgraded all linkages etc, brakes are new with all lines, rear wheels cylinders, rear suspension rebuilt, new shocks, new dual exhaust. I've Completed extensive mechanical work over the years simply way too much to list all. AC car the comp condenser and lines were removed but evap is still there and duct work is intact. The car drives super nice as it should. There is less then 2k break-in miles since the entire car frame-on restored.
