1953 Pontiac Chieftain 2 door
Description
1953 Pontiac 2 door post that runs and drives very well..
It has what appears to be a mid/late 70's General Motors subframe. This gives it front power disc brakes, power steering, tilt wheel, 283 Chevy V8, HEI Ignition, headers and dual exhaust with glass packs full length out the rear, and a low center of gravity - all of which makes this car a lot of fun to drive!
The body is and frame is very solid but being a driven car and somewhat of a road warrior, it has chips in the paint, and few small battle scars. The front and rear bumpers were removed to be sanded and painted by the previous owner but remain unfinished (they are included with the car). More unfinished work is seen in the front grill-work.
There is no headliner, the interior is complete with the front seat and steering wheel non-original to the car. Glass is good although the windshield has a light amount of whiting around the edges. All windows roll up and down easily but the drivers window needs to be attached to it's mechanism.
Sunvisor and skirts are good as are tires. Battery is relocated in the trunk. Heater core was bypassed and unsure as to why. Doors open and close very good and is a very presentable car. Car is sold as-is, where-is with no warranty It has a clean transferable 2018 New York registration . It will be the buyer's responsibility to arrange and pay for shipping. This car is for sale locally so this sale is basically a first-come-first-serve sale.
