Borrowing from the hot rods of the 1950's, domestic automobile manufacturers installed large, powerful engines into their production sedans and coupes. These beasts ruled the road for about eight years until perceived safety issues regulated them out of existence. The GTO, or "goat", was an optional trim level of the LeMans. This car originated as a LeMans convertible and was painstakingly recreated into a GTO. Great care was taken to add the distinguishing badging and insignia that was included in the original trim level. 1964 Pontiac LeMans Convertible transformed into a 1964 GTO Car was driven to Tucson when new. Body nearly perfect, as are chrome and stainless. No rust. Deltrans(Delaware) rebuilt the transmission in 2003.
