This is a numbers matching MSE Trans Am #123 OUT OF 150 made. 90%+ Original PaintL69 5.0 HO (305 cubic inch)5 Speed4 wheel Disc BrakesTalon Suspension which consisted of Urethane bushings and Koni Shocks.Fresh Fluids..rear diff, transmission, engine oil, brake fluid.A/C was redone in 2018, blows cold.Heater core,heater hoses,water pump and upper and lower radiator hoses,thermostat, electric fan was replaced as well. Car does run hot on a hot day with the a/c running.Original seats were recovered, Dash is near perfect.Headliner was replaced.Outer window sweeps replaced.Rear spoiler was repainted.Sold new by Wood Pontiac in Santa Rosa California.Rear hatch shocks need replaced.Power antenna is new. "This 1983 Mecham Racing MSE Trans Am, based on the SCCA Trans Am Winner, is a true Limited Edition collector car built by MR from a Pontiac Trans Am. This is an authentic high performance option, called " Motor Sports Edition, that could be ordered from the factory. In 1983 Mecham Racing made only 150 MSE TA's and this is #123.
This car was built for performance and handling, it has a 305 HO V8 with working Ram Air (part of the MSE option). This MSE had a "Talon" suspension system, featuring Koni struts which tightened up the car and lowered it 1", 4 wheel disc brakes.
Each MSE was personalized with a Mecham Racing console plaque that bears the car's serial number. Additionally, Each MSE (aka Macho 5.0) was outfitted with an MR 170mph speedometer (see Pic), MR Tachometer, MR leather steering wheel, MR center caps on Alloy wheels, the MR "War Paint" two tone paint.
