Up for sale is 1981 recaro trans am 1 of 2000 car has been owned by our family for almost 20 years.The car has never been winter driven or even seen rain. The car has approximately41000kms on the body . The new drivetrain has approximately 1800kms on it right now .Ithas a brand new Ls3crate engine with a vortec v2si supercharger at around 10.5psi of boost.The transmission is a freshly built turbo 400 manual valve body which has a brand new 2800 torque converter which is great for drivingaround. Thecar drives like a new careverybodybushing has been upgraded to energy suspensionpolyurethane bushings. Including all front suspension components. Front shocks and coils have been changed to Qa1 adjustablecoil overs. All the brakecallipersare new with front vented rotors and new rearcallipersas well as rotors and pads. All brake lines in the car brand new stainless steel from year one.All fuel lines are stainless braided lines. The rear end has a set of 3.73 gears which has the car humming along at 100kms and hour at around 2600 rpms on the mickey Thompson 275 60 15s.Rearleaf are a set of 2” lowering leaf springs attached to a set of competitionengineering’sslide a links. The new gas tank has been fitted with a sump for the Bosch fuel pump.

The interior is an immaculate recaro interior from the factory in 1981with one blemish on thedriver’sseat which can barely be seen. New phantom gauges tell you temp and oil pressure.Has a boost gauge and methanol gauge and a 5” monster tach. T-tops are in great condition and DO NOT LEAK.

Original paint is still on the car with a few small blemishes that father time has put on the car new door handles and power locks as well as power trunk and power windows. The cruise control and a/c have beendeleted butcan be put back by the new owner. Dash and door panels are in crack free shape. New alpine deck and speakers also were installed recently.

The under carriage of the vehicle has been stripped and repainted black as well as the frame and frame connectors. Also 3” inch exhaust from front to back. Windshields and glass are crack free.

The car is a great driver and has a ton of power which is still on the low side of 550rwhp which can be upgraded by just a pulley swap.
