1970 Pontiac Bonneville
Description
Here is the low down on this car. It's a 1970 Pontiac Bonneville 2 dr coupe. 455 V-8, 4 bbl, automatic, numbers matching car. Runs and drives awesome. This was my Father-in-laws car and the one my wife learned how to drive in. It is a two owner car. He purchased it in 1974. All the kids (4) drove it from time to time to high school and college. My sister-in-law was the last to drive it in 1987, then it was put out behind the old tool shed until January of this year. That's when my wife and I got it. When we got done with it, we thought my father-in-law would like it back, but he declined. So, we offered it back to all the kids and none of them wanted it either. So here we are. My wife said sell it.
First thing I did was drop the gas tank. It was so bad I tossed it and bought a new one. Replaced the fuel sender and cleaned the fuel lines. Also, cleaned the carb. I dropped marvel mystery oil in all cylinders for 5 days before I fired it up. Put in new plugs and it came back to life. I ran a compression check and all cylinders were at or above 110psi. The odometer shows 40K, I'm quite sure it is 140K. However, the engine does not smoke or burn oil. So, as you can see from the photos, this is a pretty sharp car. Below is a list of things I have done to this car:
NEW:
Fuel tank
Sending unit
Brakes/front rotors turned
Inner/Outer tie rods
Idler arm
Stabilizer bar bushings
Center link
Shocks
All new belts and hoses
Paint and body work NOTE: This car although great looking is still about a 7 footer
Carpet
Front seat upholstery
Sail panels and package tray
Duel exhaust w/50 series flowmaster mufflers
Wheels and tires
This car has no issues running down the road at 80mph. All lights, turn signals, heater all work correctly. No A/C. The dash does have a few cracks, the windshield has a crack on the passenger side and there are two small rust holes in the trunk pan. I do have the fender skirts and original wheels/caps that go with the car. Also, have the original book and paperwork when it was purchased new in Great Falls Montana. We have all the receipts for everything we did with the car. If you are interested, give me a call. Asking $5000.00 OBO.
