Description

This is a decent 1974 Pontiac Grand Am. It is engine code "T" 400/4bbl/Dual Exhaust. I have owned it for about 20 years, and it was my daily driver until a few years ago. I gave out, it didn't. The quarter panels had started to rust around the wheel well openings, and I had that repaired and the car painted by a professional in order to keep it from getting worse. At that time, we installed an InDesign nose.

It ran great whenit last ran it, and it has always had excellent care. The interior needs work, of course, and it will naturally need normal "nickel and dime" stuff. It is a good solid car,and just needs someone to treat it right. I have all the parts to finish it(headlight bezels, new weatherstripping kit, GREAT steeringwheel, and a bunch of extra parts. The side badges have been restored by hand.

The A/C compressor and related have been removed, but I have them and it all goes with the car. I also have all the manuals for the car, including dealership repair manuals. The real ones.

The carpet was replaced when purchased, and is still good. I have had the hood hinges rebuilt, the doors do not sag, and the only engine work has been a timing chain, lifters, and pushrodsbesides normal maint. in the time I have had it. No sign of anyother work that I have seen.It really ran great when I shut it off and emptied the gas tank.No aftermarket performance engine parts. Doesn't need it. It came from the factory with a "His and Hers" shifter.

Remember, it has been sitting in the garage for years. You will need to trailer it home and massage it a little. Everything is there, and it deserves a good home. This is MY car, and I can answer any questions you have. I encourage you to have someone come look at it if you aren't sure. Ebay has a service for that. It might be a project, but not much of one.

There are a very few of these left. They only made 13,971. When this was built (late morning 11/13/73), they had already decided to stop producing the Grand Am. Total first generation Grand Am production '73-'75 was less than the total number of Edsels produced, if that puts it into perspective. I only ask that you not buy it to butcher. It will be yours, but It deserves better.

Compare to others you have seen. This one is real. $1K due at auction close. Absolutely no refunds of the down payment for any reason if you win the auction. No warranty of any kind. Balance due before you take possession. No exceptions. Unless otherwise agreed upon in advance, buyer needs to take possession within two weeks of winning the auction.
