Description

1964 Porsche 356 C Sunroof Coupe VIN 128921 Engine 731511Here we have a car that is pretty special based on the heavy original options. This car was originally Ivory with a black interior and came equipped with a bunch of options, all of which are listed on the scan of the Factory Kardex (see pics). The options are as follows:1. Electric Sunroof2. Fog Lights3. Chrome Horn Ring4. Coco Mats5. 1 Head Rest6. Antenna7. Diagonal Safety Belts8. 2 Speakers9. Radio Capacitors
So whoever ordered this car had a pretty good idea of what they thought was the perfect car. The car was originally delivered in Germany and then shipped to my hometown of Atlanta, GA. Ironically, the original delivery address in Atlanta is about 1.5 miles from the house I was born in.My guess would be this was a Tourist Delivery car where the owner would order it from the Factory, pick it up there, tour Europe, and then ship it back to the states.Someone has started restoring the car, there is evidence of new floors, rockers, longitudinals, and back seat metal. There is still some metal work to be done, please look closely at all the pics of the underside, but much of the heavy lifting looks to have been taken care of. The original engine is still present and turns over nicely by hand, no attempt has been made to start it. The sunroof panel is still present as well as the switch on the dash, but much of the guts of the sunroof like the cables are missing, so these parts will need to be sourced. As far as project 356's go this is a pretty good one, it's heavily optioned, a nice color of Ivory, as well as having much of the rust repair done. The fact that it's matching numbers is a nice bonus too. The C Coupe was the final iteration of the 356 and the most drivable, with the larger windows and the disc brakes. If you've been searching a good winter 356 project, this might be the car for you. Don't miss out!

Clear title and ready for export.
