Porsche 356b Super 1961 T5 Notchback Hardtop 1600S
Description
I have for sale a 1961 Porsche 356b T5 hardtop also known as a notchback. It has a clear California title and is currently registered. Vin #200078. Does NOT include a motor but has the numbers matching gearbox. Originally this was equipped with a 1600S. Includes a COA and a copy of the Kardex. This vehicle started its life as a Ruetter built cabriolet and was then sent to the Karmann factory to be converted to a Hardtop model by having a removable hardtop welded permanently in place. It was originally delivered to a customer in London, then at some point made its way to the US. This car is rare in its current configuration as there are only a handful of these models left. If you're looking for a cheap cabriolet this could also be converted back to a cabriolet fairly easily with some labor and the appropriate cabriolet frame and parts. Also a great candidate for a race car with the stiffer cabriolet chassis. The original color is Fjord Green paint code 6005 with a light brown interior. There are some remnants of the Fjord Green on the car under the primer and metallic pea green. Original floors are intact, there are a few holes in the pan on the driver's side but overall there is minimal rust damage (see photos). This is NOT a rust bucket that you'll spend tens of thousands of dollars on rust repair. All the parts that are included are shown in the photos, nothing more. The doors are in good shape and the door glass is intact. I will bolt the doors back on in the next few days. This sale only includes one seat. Also there is no dash pad, no door panels and no e-brake assembly. It's hard to tell in the photos but the windshield is broken and will need to be replaced. The impossible to find rear glass is in good shape and has a new piece of rubber on it. I don't believe that the mileage is original. Too many projects right now so this is for sale. Car is located in Torrance California. I encourage inspecting the car in person so you can see exactly what you're getting. Car is sold as is and where is. No warranty expressed or implied. Bank wire transfer is preferred. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required by paypal with the remainder due within 72 hours. Thanks!
