Listing one of my 968 6 speed Coupes for sale. I don't really want to sell, but I have 3 968s (2 black) and I don't really need them all. Plus, another collector car has caught my eye ... so I need a little cash and a free garage space. Otherwise I'd be keeping the car.
If you are a serious bidder / buyer, you don't need me to explain the 968. You know what it is. You know it's charm. You know it's value. You know what projected values are too. 968 values are sort of all over the place -- but compare this one to other sub-100k mile 968 coupes with a manual transmission. After all, those are really the ones to have. There are not too many available at any given time. There are a few that are fetching $30k+ and a couple that have asking prices into the $40ks. I'm not asking that ... but this isn't a beat up tiptronic car so it won't sell for dirt cheap. Prices for 6 speed coupes are going UP. Check the web for articles about recent sales and projections. Even Hagerty has projected the 968 as an investment grade car sure to rise in value.
This car is very clean, but not totally concours condition yet. It is mechanically 100%. I've had recent service done and it is all up to date. This includes belts that were done last year. If I were to keep the car, I'd replace the rubber exterior trim pieces that run along the side panels (hockey sticks) and around the door handle / keyholes. It will also need new tires at some point in the not too distant future. They have ample tread, but they're older than what you'd want to use. Interior is very nice. No tears on any seats. No cracks on the dash. I replaced the center armrest cassette tape holder with a new OEM console from a ClubSport. It's an ideal place to keep your cell phone and it looks much better. The old center armrest will be included in the sale. The car came to me with a detachable faceplate CD radio. I'm not a fan of the radio, but I admitthat it looks good when the faceplate is off (very racecar like). It wasn't important enough to me to change the radio - I listen to the engine and exhaust.
Good luck with the bidding. It's a very honest andsolid car. You will not be disappointed.
