Description

This is a 1970 Porsche 911E that I recently acquired from the 2nd owner who last drove it in 1984. He bought it in 1977 or 78 (he couldn't remember). He drove it for several years before electing to convert it to an "RS look" in 1983. New SC quarter panels were correctly installed (by drilling spotwelds and removing lead), fiberglass bumpers and a ducktail were installed. The gaps all the way around are as good or better than factory (including the duck tail which is nearly impossible). A complete new front suspension was installed (in pics), rear bushings, torsion bars, adjustable spring plates, Rial wheels and tires, stainless brake lines, Bursch exhaust, Cibie lights, Koenig seats, factory dash, wind shield, and correct square weave carpet. He was nearly finished putting the car back together when he bought a brand new 1984 Corvette... and never touched the Porsche again. Yes, you read that correctly. He started the car once when he moved to his current residence about 24 years ago.
So... everything listed above is new but 35 years old. The car was in climate controlled storage so it's all in remarkably excellent shape. Except the paint. It has several scratches and each front fender has a small dent. In it's day it was probably a high quality paint job and it's close but not exact to the original Albert Blue.
There is absolutely no rust. The front pan, dog legs, window corners, rockers, jack points and all the other typical rust spots are completely clean. Even the battery boxes are perfect. I've done my best to photograph everything. Anything missing from the car are included: pedal board, remaining carpet not yet installed, original spare, rear seat belts, front suspension pan, wind shield trim, seals etc.. The only items I couldn't find is the grill that covers the shift coupler and front seat belts. There is no jack or tools or manuals. It does have both of it's factory keys.
The interior is exceptional. The dash, carpet and seats are new. The rest of it are incredibly nice for 50 years old. The leather wrapped wheel is perfect. The small piece of vinyl that covers the B pillar is not there. The door pockets are great but the bungees need to be replaced and the drivers side pocket trim has a few scratches.
I did not get a COA. There is no evidence the engine has ever been out or apart based on the hardware being original and him telling me that he'd not done anything to the engine except maintenance. It's the correct era and type based on the number. I connected a battery to it and it started immediately on raw fuel.
I was looking for a SWB car to make a hotrod out of. So I'll pass this one along.
Overseas buyers- I can deliver to Jacksonville or Savannah for $500
