Description

I have been the proud owner of this car since 2005. It does need some TLC but she is a great car over all. Not long after I got it the fuel pump started going out in it so I parked it. As a result of no one in my local area willing to work on it, the car has been sitting up for a while and the fuel pump is not currently functioning at all. The car does still crank when starting fluid is sprayed into it so I know the motor is not locked up but she does still have a few problems. Due to sitting up the convertible top and fuel lines need to be replaced and the fluids need to be changed in it as well. The only thing wrong with the exterior is a few minor scratches and a place on the front bumper where a stray dog bit the bumper (see pictures). The odometer reads 23,725. Not sure if that is correct but since it is a 1988 mileage is exempt. I am not a Saab expert and did not know about the Springtime in Sweden model. I only realized that it could be an SIS when I was getting ready to sell it and saw pictures and information online about it. I looked at the lower left hand corner of the glove box and you can clearly see where there used to be a rectangular shaped badge there. I then took off the drivers side door panel and looked at the build sheet and it has the numbers 00111 and the word AERO. I am not sure if that truly means anything but with the black and grey colors, three spoke rims and SPG package I am pretty sure its an SIS. If there is any more information on this particular model that someone can share, it would be greatly appreciated. It is an automatic so if it is truly an SIS only 4 were built with the automatic transmission and she deserves to be restored to her former glory. I do not have the money to do so. She does need some attention but for her age she's in decent shape. I have included all the pictures I could but if you would like anymore pictures or information just contact me and I will try to help the best I can. Thanks for looking! Happy bidding and God bless .
