1965 Shelby Cobra by Superformance
Description
This is a car that was manufactured and assembled by Superformance who makes the best continuation/replicas of Carol Shelby race cars of the 1960's. Carol Shelby sued most of the replica and kit manufacturers and would not let them use his name or the Cobra badge. Carol was so impressed with the quality of the cars made by Superformance that he endorsed their cars and gave his permission to use his name and the Cobra emblem. In order to import these cars from South Africa they are sold as rollers (without drive trains). This car is powered by a Keith Craft built Ford engine that puts out over 550 horsepower and over 565 pound/feet of torque. It Has a Tremec 4 speed transmission that drives a limited slip rear end with independent suspension.
It has a fantastic horsepower to weight ratio that is seldom, if ever, found muscle cars or even the super cars of today. The ride is definitely exhilarating. This car is proud to say that it has no radio or cup holders. The sound of the side pipes is all the music that one needs.
This Cobra will hold its own at a car show or track day event. It has won trophys whenever it was shown. At the track, it does more than look good. It even has a brake bias lever in the cockpit to balance the braking on the track. This car has never been raced in a wheel-to-wheel event but has seen some autocross and track day events.
A cashiers' check is the preferred method of payment. You can drive it or trailer it back home, or you can arrange to have it shipped.
