1954 Studebaker Conestoga Wagon Pro Street
Description
A sad reality has come over me. That is, I’ll never have the time to finish this one-of-a-kind vehicle. If you’re looking for a car to make an impression, this is it. A 1954 Studebaker Conestoga wagon (only 4900 built in ’54) Pro-Streeted to the max. It’s been sitting in a comfortable, dry garage for quite some time, just waiting to hit the road and scare little children with its ominous demeanor. BTW – don’t let anyone tell you Pro Street is dead. As long as there’s testosterone people will be stuffing big tires and bigger engines into cars. And this is Stude is a fabulous example of that style. We found this wagon as a complete car and blew it apart. The craftsmen at Street Rods By Michael built a one-off chassis, complete with a Fatman Fabrications Mustang front suspension, S/W Race Cars four link rear suspension and 9-inch Ford rear with 28-spline axles. A car like this needs serious motivation, and this wagon has a fresh 454 under the hood, coupled to a 700R4 trans from TPI. The look is finished off with huge Hoosiers on Boyd Six-Shooter wheels – actually purchased from Boyd himself. Sure, this project isn’t for the faint of heart – but the end result will be absolutely worth the effort. I have 2 perfect front fenders to go along with it as well. Please contact me for more pictures and questions. I require a 500-dollar non-refundable deposit 24 hours after auctions end. And the remainder in cash or a cashier’s check. The car doesn’t leave until funds are cleared. Owner must arrange shipping. No title, but registrations are easy enough to get. Thank you.
