Here is a one of a kind 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk, formerly owned by a National Car Museum and recently displayed at the South Bend Studebaker Meet. This car was customized in the early 1990swith suspension from a 1976 Dodge Aspen and a Chrysler 318 V8/Torque flute drivetrain, as well as Chrysler rear axle. The Hawk waspainted and trimmed to look monochrome. Interior was from a 1979 Chrysler LeBaron.The projectwas written up on theOctober 1994 issue of the Studebaker Drivers Club magazine, Turning Wheels, and was dubbed the "MoHawk." This is a one of kind Rat Rod candidate with Mopar power ! As show, good luck !
Exterior: Paint and fillers have some issues. Front fenders are fiberglass. Car was originally painted in Centari II in medium gray metallic.
Interior: Seats show somesun fading, and interior trim shows age. Headliner is in good condition. Rear floor foot wells have been eliminated.
Mechanical: Car runs, drives, and stops. Gas gauge and tachometer do not work. Has new battery.
Structural: Trunk floor has been fiberglassed (see pictures), as have some passenger compartment areas. There is rust in areas.
