Hello to all Ebayers!
I have been with EBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation with EBay at 100%.
I bought this vehicle with the intention of bringing it to California to add to my collection but I bought two 1935 Cadillac's that needs restoration that will need my full attention to finish up these cars.UnfortunatelyI don't want to overload myself that's why this vehicle is for sale.
This 1960 Studebaker Hawk is located in a Copart facility inElmwood City, PA. I tried to sell it on Copart but this vehicle is a classic clean vehicle and they have a salvage yard so it's not the best place to sell this vehicle there. You can purchase the vehicle through Ebay or you can purchase it through Copart by becoming a member.
PRICED TO SELL !!!
Here is the description I have from the previous owner:
“I bought this 1960 Studebaker Hawk with the original transmission out but it had just been rebuilt with 20 over pistons. New 3 row radiator was with the car. This Studebaker has 98,142 ACTUAL MILES. I painted the frame fire wall and the interior fenders before putting the motor and transmission back in the car. The breaks were done also. Car runs and drives great. New ex-pipes were added. The front end was out from the car and I put it back together as you can see in the before and after pictures. Interior is in great shape, glass is great, the paint looks presentable, chromes are presentable condition and its drivers quality. I pulled the carpet out to show the floors are in great condition and only the surface has imperfections. ”
INFORMATION FROM WIKIPEDIA
When the 1960 model year began, U.S. automakers were in the throes of a steel strike, and the shortage of steel hit Studebaker, which was a much smaller company than AMC or the Big Three, particularly hard.
Studebaker had a proven sales winner in the 1959 Lark, which was continued into 1960 with little change. With steel in short supply, the company chose to focus on building as many Larks as possible to ensure an adequate supply for the company's dealers. This meant that Silver Hawk production for 1960, which had been scheduled to begin in November or December 1959, was delayed.
Unfortunately for Studebaker— but fortunately for Hawk buyers— sales of the Lark began to fall off in the closing months of 1959. By the beginning of February 1960, Hawks finally began to roll from the South Bend assembly line.
It isn't known what might have happened had Lark sales continued at their 1959 levels, but speculation has been advanced that the company might not have produced any Hawks. The lengthy delay between new-model announcement time and the start of Hawk production in 1960 shows just how close Studebaker came to not producing a model that they had at least halfheartedly promoted in print advertising and showroom brochures.
Fortunately, though, the Hawk lived on, and later that year a stock production model won its class in the 1960Mobil Economy Run, delivering 22.9 miles per gallon.

General Information:
People have different opinions and expectations of old cars. It is your responsibility to inspect the vehicle or send a third party inspector for your satisfaction. Remember this is a56year old vehicle and can have some imperfections. I had a bad experience with a ruthless dealer that wanted to buy a classic from me and triple the price the next day!
