1954 Studebaker 2 door pillarless coupe
Description
1954 Studebaker 2 door. It says Champion on the grill. This car had been siting in a California yard for many years. The California license plates were last registered in 1998.The car is now in Las Vegas,Nevada. It is missing the front and rear seats, carpet, rear door panels and headliner. The remaining interior is weathered. It appears that nothing else is missing from the interior .It has a floor shifter.Their is no rust in any of the floor or trunk pans and are in excellent factory condition with never any repair .The frame and under carriage appear to be in very good condition with little surface rust with duel exhaust that appears to be almost new.The car is weathered and door latches are dry and need some attention but appear that with some cleaning and grease would be fine. The Front windows roll up and down but forgot to check the rear windows but I am sure they work as well. Most all weather striping is dry rotted or gone. All glass is original with no cracks and is in driver condition. It does not appear to be missing any exterior trim. All of the exterior pot metal is pitted and will need to be rechromed. All stainless steel is in good condition with one small dent in the windshield trim but will need polishing for show. Straight front and rear bumpers that need to be rechromed. The color of the car is Putty Grey and it appears to be the factory applied paint that is very weathered . It does not appear there has ever been any repair or damage to the body and is factory original. Hood and deck lid are very straight. There are some small dings, dents and scrapes in body but very straight and solid considering its age and a great starting point for your build. It does have a little surface rust but not much.It does have some rust through in the lower part of the front fenders and a very little in the lower front corner of the doors and in some areas of the trunk channel where the weather strip goes and used to be. Water sat there and created some rust through in areas of the trunk channel. It has a V-8 engine which I do not no the displacement of.It appears to be complete. Some one took off the fan and shroud and put an electric fan on the radiator. Some engine wiring and odd and ends are disconnected or missing.will the engine run?Is the engine good?I do not know.If I was a betting man I would bet that you could get it running as is but count on it not being in running condition and needing a minimum of a complete rebuild. It has a 3 speed trans mission with floor shift. It seems to go in all gears. No brakes,Brake pedal goes to floor.Car steers and pushes fine and would be no problem putting on your trailer. Title is clear and in my possession. If you have any questions please email or call 702-528-0187 before you bid. This is a project car that does not run or drive and is being sold as is and must be towed.
