1923 Studebaker EM Light Six NO RESERVE
Description
Thank you for taking a look at our 1923 Studebaker EM Light Six! Our research indicates that this year was the first all-steel body Studebaker! Additionally, it was the first year for an all cast iron block and head as previous years used aluminum heads. This year was also the highest income year for Studebaker Corporation in its history; their income for the year was just over $18.34 Million. The previous owner provided a letter with the vehicle that provides a little information on the car. The letter, from a previous Publications Editor of The Antique Studebaker Club toanother previous owner, states that all Light Sixes this year came from the factory with a black enamel body, fenders and wheels. The letter also states that ivory striping was used on the wheel spokes and hood louvers.
Much of the car is present. The drivetrain looks to be mostly complete but is clearly not functioning. The interior is incomplete but we do have the dash for the car, as well as the front and rear seats. The car could be an excellent rat rod project but we would love to see it put back to original for its historical significance. With a winning bid on this NO RESERVE auction, the choice will be yours!
This auction is for the vehicle as is, where is. Please look at the pictures and contact us with any questions about the car. We aren't experts or historians but we will attempt to answer any questions we are able to!
