1982 Toyota FJ-40 Land Cruiser 4x4. Super Low Mileage Original Engine, Imported with Black top RednExterior and Black Interior. Rust Free.
This is an actual 1982 FJ-40, but ebay kept erroring.
Very clean FJ 40 that is incredibly smooth, drives easily in traffic, town, on the highway and even in the mountains. Matching numbers Engine, Original Carburetor and Transmission. Imported from Colombia this FJ40 is a true Gem! I am cleaning out my FJ collection and this would make a great addition to anyone’s collection, weekend warrior or even a daily driver. It is a sharp 40 that gets a lot of attention, the red and black is a pretty color combo.

Motor:

The Original 2F engine 4.2L 135 hp runs great and idles perfectly. Rebuilt and currently has only 29,999 KM (18,640) I have noticed a few times if I let it sit for more than a few days I have to pump the gas, start it let it stall and re start. After that it runs like a champ. The engine is strong and currently set up perfect for elevation. The Motor doesn't appear to leak oil, I am not seeing any leaks on my garage floor either.

Transmission/Drivetrain/suspension/Transfer Case:

There is a 4 speed transmission that shifts easily without any whining, crunching, vibration or chatter. The clutch is light and smooth, the transfer case shifts easily in and out of 4x4. It has a lift with 33” tires. The drive-train is stock No issues at all.

Hardtop:

It is in great condition, there are no chips, dings or dents. The windows are tinted.

Under Carriage:

The undercarriage and frame are in excellent condition and rust free, there is some discoloration on leaf springs.
Tires/Wheels:
The tires are off brand 33” with approx 40-50% tread life remaining. The wheels are Aluminum alloys 15x10 and in Good condition.
Body/Paint:
This FJ40 has a very clean body, the paint is clean with a few chips and scratches near the doors and hood (view photos). The body overall is very clean, the hood shows a few small dings and the gasket will need to be replaced on both side doors and windows. It seals but it is cracked. Again the paint is beautiful and has lots of life left. The grill is from a newer Toyota, but I also have the original that will be included if wanted.

Interior:

The interior has been upgraded, there are two Toyota off-road front seats. The driver’s seat has a small hole and could be fixed by an auto interior specialist. The rear has a full bench seat that is also new. The entire cab is covered with removable rubber mats. There is no rust, but in the rear there is an area that the rubber mat has left some black residue. Everything on the dash appears to work without problems including the horn, turn signals, aftermarket radio, speedometer, windshield wipers etc. The dash pad is in great condition.
Extras::
The whole vehicle has been gone over top to bottom. All fluids have been flushed and replaced. There is a new Interstate Battery with new connectors. The Distributor has been replaced with a new one.
Overall:
This is a very nice, clean, rust free, classic and rare Toyota FJ40 Auction.

I do my best to illustrate the FJ’s condition but I may have missed something. It is a used Land Cruiser and 35 years old, it may have imperfections that I may have missed. A $1,000 non refundable deposit must be paid within 24 hours of auction end time via Paypal. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the auction end time by an electronic bank transfer or cash in person. I accept all cashiers/certified checks however they can take up to 2 weeks to process and clear. I will not ship the FJ or let it go until all funds have cleared. Once funds have cleared I will overnight the title, emissions voucher and bill of sale to you.
I am not responsible for any out of state inspections or emissions requirements including here in Colorado.
