1971 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40
Full Frame-Off Nut-N-Bolt Restoration
This rust-free mid-western FJ40 was traded in at a Toyota dealership in 2004. The owner decided to take it on as a restoration project that took over 10 years to complete. His Service department team completely dismantled this vehicle down to the bare frame and rebuilt, refurbished & replaced everything about it.
The original 6-cyl. 3878cc was sent to machine shop to be professionally rebuilt back to original specs. The transmission, transfer case & differentials were refurbished & serviced. All of the suspension and braking components have been replaced, refurbished and serviced. The frame was bead-blasted and refinished.
The body was taken down to raw metal and refinished in the original Dune Beige - Color Code 416 with original Alpine white top.
The upholstery was in excellent Original condition, so the seats were left untouched. Even the original heater remains.
Every effort was taken when the vehicle was re-assembled to use new OEM or NOS parts from Toyota including lights, emblems, hardware, etc. The few contemporary aftermarket items are the shocks, tires, wheels & off-road lights.
This restoration project was completed in 2014 and has remained in the Toyota Dealership showroom for that last 4 years except for an occasional parade or show.
Its been driven less than 400 miles since restoration and never taken off-road. One of the best examples of the iconic Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 in the country.
