Description

This is a 1982 Land Cruiser Troopy, it was imported from Quategue Columbia, South America, the actual VIN is FJ45945716, to Dallas, tx where I purchased it 2 1/2 years ago. It was legally imported.eBay did not recognize the vin, as 1984 It truly has been an awesome truck, but I’m purchasing an HJ 60 diesel wagon, and I will not be driving this enough. I feel as though it should go to someone who can enjoy it more. I do not want it to become my garage princess, in addition, my bride says only one Cruiser. I miss the days when it was OK to have 3 or 4.... Some upgrades we have performed on the vehicle include, Install a new driveshaft in the rear, it now cruises at 55 comfortably, 60 with a tail wind, it’s a 4 Speed. We replaced the power steering belt and. Installed a new speedo housing and it now works. That is the reason that the mileage is unknown. New oil pan gasket, front timing gear gasket, valve cover gasket, fuel pump insulator plate, and gaskets. Power steering gearbox, and ignition switch. The vehicle has 5 new BFG Mudterrains, on new FJ Cruiser Steelies. 16”I have all of the receipts, for the work that has been done, and the parts that have been purchased. I feel the truck could benefit from a new clutch, it drives very well, but slips slightly when pulling my Thule trailer. The interior is in beautiful shape, no tears in the seats, or custom floor mats. The headliner is gray fabric and is very nice. The rear seats were an upgrade from a 75 troopy, and are very comfortable. The seats were in the vehicle when purchased. The exterior has very small spots of very slight surface rust, I can send specific pictures if you would like. I love the original paint patina, but the truck would be perfect with new paint. The roof gutters have some rust, I tried to show in pics. The frame is extremely clean and straight, the driveline works well, and four-wheel-drive works as it should. The Birfield’s have always been clean, without noticeable leaks.I have the vehicle Lettered, for my company, and if it sells I will have the decals removed professionally. If it does not sell, I would like to keep the lettering applied. The front and rear bumper systems were custom built in Dallas for the gentleman who imported her. The front bumper is set up for a winch, and a lights, which I have not installed. The rear bumper has a 2” hitch receiver, and the tire holder swings clear, of the ambulance doors. The truck has power steering, and power assisted breaks. There is a very short sloppy spot in the top of the steering, about an inch and a hal, very common, just want to be transparent. The truck drives and shifts smooth, and I can also send a video of the vehicle being driven, shifted, and how it performs based on the tachometer. Tachometer generally runs below 3000, and approaches 3.5k between 55 and 60mph. 85-95kpm.I’m more than happy to answer any questions, I can have the vehicle available for inspection. I Purchased a number of vehicles through eBay, craigslist, and have utilized independent inspector’s for the purchase. If you are local, I’m self-employed, so a meeting is quite easy, at a buyers convenience . In addition I will help arrange the shipping of the vehicle at the buyers expense. Our Troopy is very clean, and tight. It attracts a lot of attention, if you’re an introvert, this may not be the vehicle for you. It starts a lot of conversations. Would like to thank my wife for helping me with this listing, I do not have an eBay account. She will direct all questions to me. Please be patient......:) If you are new to land cruisers, there are a number of places to purchase parts, around the country, I have purchased many of my Land Cruiser parts through cruiserparts.net, cruiser corps, or Spectre off-road. To name a few. They are extremely knowledgeable and can get you just about anything, be it OEM, or used. Bose bluetooth speaker is not included in the sale. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding. Cheers, RJ
