Triumph TR-8 Coupe

Offered for sale is a rare 1980 TR-8 Triumph Coupe. Very few were built and this was one of the last. The 1979 production year lists Identification numbers as TCN 160001 to 160142; although, it is uncertain if the entire series was used. The previous owner showed the vehicle several times and brought home a VTR 2d Place, Concourse Gold on one of his outings. I replaced the front end rack, complete with power steering pump, with a rebuilt rack from the Wedge Shop. Although it has been driven and runs great; it has spent most of its time in storage. I prefer my older Triumphs, with convertible tops, for cruising around the lake. Engine, transmission and differential numbers will be posted as soon as I find where I recorded them. They appear to be numbers match... as close as anyone can determine from the latter years of Triumph production. The mesh exhaust system shields are original and in great condition. I would have no problem driving this vehicle any distance; but I would recommend shipping it or arranging for delivery from my location. The V-8 engine and 5-speed transmission, combined with the cost of speeding tickets, makes shipping a viable economic alternative. The vehicle has new exterior paint; but the interior, engine compartment and trunk are original. Interior upholstery and carpet appear to be original. The roof hatch is referenced in the owners manual and I assume it is original and/or after market replacement.
