Description

I literally grew up in a TR250. My father bought one new and was my father’s primary source of transportation through me going to college. I’ve been around TR250’s since they were introduced and I consider it to not only be a favorite but an absolute classic considering it was only produced one year. There might be 500 of these vehicles world wide still in existence. Maybe less. Regardless, I've had three now.

You are looking at one of the best examples of TR250 in existence. Financially, no limit was set to achieve the desired goal of having not only the cleanest, straightest TR250 but a restoration with the most contemporary drivability. Comes with original Surrey top w/ fabric roof (I do not have the aluminum roof).

This is my second frame off rotisserie restoration TR, and this is perhaps the finer of the two. Where to start…. For one, the last restoration I did a complete modification of the frame reinforcing key weak areas, gussets and rear spring perches etc. This go around is a Ratco frame. The Ratco frame is superior to the original in every way including rust protection.

The rear end is a Nissan R200, transmission is a Toyota 5 speed both able to handle the increased horsepower as well as ease of parts if ever needed. Smooth as all get up. Oversized brakes front and rear, oversized sway bars, springs, shocks and the list just keeps on going. Engine probably produces close to 150hp+ and like everything else, is done to perfection.

I doubt you’ll ever come across a TR250 so nicely done again. If you love the TR250 as I do, and you’ve been holding out for something over the top because you just don’t have the time to do a frame off on your own, this is it. An insane amount of labor went into this car and will go to someone who truly appreciates what it takes to get a car to this level. Only reason for selling is I’m moving to the coast and I cannot subject this car to a marine environment.
