Triumph TR250 - Rare one year only

Description

Rare 1968 Triumph TR250, only 8484 made. This car is a second owner car that has been in British Columbia it's whole life and has been mostly stored since 1982 when it was purchased from the original owner. The engine, transmission and differential are all original to the car and have the correct number range for the build date. Many original items on the car including some yellow striped hoses, a one year only 15ac alternator, Stromberg 175 CD 2 carburetors and a "Circle B" cast head. The original jack and wheel wrench come with the car.The hubcaps, door handles and window winders are from a TR4 and the steering wheel is from an early TR6.
The speedometer has been replaced and reads 15,545 miles however the correct mileage is just over 61,000 miles. The rear frame had some rust repair in the late 1980's and some body rust was repaired prior to a re-paint in 1998. The tires are old Pirelli Cinturano's on the front and Michelin XAS on the rear. They hold air and are OK for moving the car short distances but should be replaced prior to any major road use.
The engine starts and runs well and the transmission shifts properly, but the car has had very little use in the past 37 years and should be checked over before any big trips. This car is a very good candidate for a complete restoration or to fix up a bit and use as a driver. The car was a fun project that has been worked on and used occasionally but it is time to pass it on to a new owner.
