Description

Cut and paste the YouTubelinks below to see more of the car in person.I strive to describe the vehicles I sell exactly so there are no disappointments and you know exactly what you're getting. Some of the pictures are in "as purchased" condition. It no longer has wire wheels although some will be included with it. This one is a rare one but it is a 50 year old car with a ton of life left in it. At just 80K miles, it is still running on the original engine, trans and rearend to the best of my knowledge. The story- This car was purchased by a wrecking yard after a wheel came loose. It was stored at an offsite location by the owner for 35 years along with 30+ other Triumphs. It came with one steel wheel installed and rotten tires on wire wheels. I had it towed to me and had difficulty removing one of the other wheels. Eventually, I just cut off the knockoff, damaging the wheel and hub in the process. I purchase a set of wheels and new tires so I could roll it around. It will come with all remaining wheels and hubs, (plus one new hub i bought when I thought I could still get the other one off).Car is 95% rust free based on my examination of it. I took the "period correct" battery out of it, along with disintegrating battery paperwork saved behind it and found a few small holes in the battery tray. That is the only rust I can find on the vehicle. The car appears to have been in the Albuquerque Area it's whole life. The title is clean and in my name. Miles are actual. The rotoflex couplings are cracked and will need to be replaced but still intact. The fuel tank appears to be clean and providing clean fuel to the car but the lines need to be checked. I put a couple of gallons in it and a month later, there was no fuel in it. I'm guessing one of the rubber lines is leaking slightly but I didn't see or smell any leaks as I was working on it.Cooling system- Water pump leaked on startup. I replaced it. It's leaking from lower radiator hose and upper thermostat gasket area after warmup.Electrical- switches are sticky and don't always do what they are supposed to. need to be cleaned and lubed.Shifter is sloppy but you can find the gears. I bought the shifter kit and will include it.Bidding- if you have negative or no feedback, please contact me before bidding. This car has no reserve and will sell to the highest bidder. I am putting a buy it now in case someone wants to buy it right away. I require a $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of purchase and payment in full at pickup. Buyer is responsible for picking the vehicle up at my home in Albuquerque NM. Due to lack of brakes, it won't drive on a transporter. I'll add pictures as I get asked questions.
