1960 VW Beetle
Description
For Sale: Here is a very cute little 1960 VW Beetle. This car was residing in Arizona just a few years ago (2 owners before me) and has a very solid body. The underside is decent as well. This Beetle starts right up and runs good. The 4-speed shifts good. The brakes are spongy and weak but they do stop the car. They probably need bled. The red paint is presentable and the glass is good. The bumpers are nice and so is the stainless trim. The tires are fair. I am missing 1 original VW hubcap. The other 3 are in good shape. The driver's side rear taillight lens is cracked. Decent sounding exhaust. The car has a jack (I think it's an original). A spare wheel rim and spare starter are included. The doors open and shut well and the door windows roll up and down. The door vent windows operate. The door lock works. The front hood latch works and the pull release inside the car unlatches the hood. The horn works (a very cute Beep, Beep). The headlights and high beams work. Brake lights work. The turn signal lights work and blink, but the turn signal lever collar is loose and it's difficult to get the lights to blink and stay blinking. Ebrake not holding. The car has an aftermarket Jensen radio/stereo but it's not turning on.Wipers not working, (I'm checking on the fuse for this). The speedometer and instrument gauge light work. The interior of this Beetle is in very decent shape as you can see in the photos. The dash is nice and so is the headliner. Good door panels also. The seats are fairly comfortable.Overall, this is a very cute '60 VW Beetle. The previous owner's wife drove the car often around town on errands. Good gas mileage. A little brake work and turn signal collar should make this a cool errand-runner again.
Please feel free to ask questions. Car is sold in as-is condition. Inspection is available.
