This is a no-reserve auction, which means that the last highest bidder when the auction is over will win the car. Every time you bid on the car keep in mind that you have an opportunity to be the owner, so your bid means something.

We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. Ebay also offers a service like this! Please do this BEFORE bidding on the vehicle!

This is an as-is vehicle, which means that once you buy it, you own it with all faults (known or unknown). With the purchase of this vehicle, the buyer will pay for all repairs. We sell all cars as-is, which means you will pay all costs for any repairs. The dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.

IWe would like the vehicle picked up from our lot within 7 days of auction

Thank you for looking at our 1981 Volkswagen Vanagon. It's a 4 cylinder stick shift. It runs like brand new. The reason the miles are not actual is because the gentleman guessed the mileage, put in the wrong miles, and just checked the box "non-actual". The previous title to this title said actual. So when we sell it we're going to put the actual miles that are on the car. This car spent most of it's life in sunny California. It came to east coast about 15 years ago, purchased by a mechanic. The mechanic went crazy on this vehicle, making it run better than the original and replacing every part.

To start out, it has a 92 horsepower Porsche engine and a newer clutch. All four tires are excellent, the brakes are to the top, it steers straight down the road, and it has no lack of power. A Westfalia enthusiast changed the motor to make it more powerful, run smoother and fuel injected. He also put gauges in the dash. He has a temperature gauge in each cylinder, volt and amp gauges, tachometer, and fuel pressure gauge. With all the additional gauges, it's just like you're flying an airplane. The original owner also replaced the radio with a modern sound system.

When you get in and drive this Volkswagen, it doesn't drive or sound like the original Vanagons. It's just fantastic. This van also comes with approximately $2,000 of extra parts that are all shown in the slideshow below. The tent goes up and down easily and it's in very good condition. I also have all kinds of extra tarps that are shown in the slideshow. The front seats of the car are just about perfect, and everything in the back is very nice for being 35 years old. This camper just went on a camping trip about 5 month ago, 650 miles each way without any problems. The heater and sink were used, and they both worked correctly. The refridgerator wasnt really working so I removed it and had alot of extra storage. There is a vent free propane heater I bought for winter camping and keeps it warm on the coldest nights.

We have all paperwork for this van, . Anything that was done or changed over can be found just by going through all the folders. Plus it has repair books, so if you want to service it yourself in the future, you don't have to hunt them down. There was a little touch-up done to the vehicle, as seen in the pictures. Also the 2 mud-flaps in the back and the 2 end pieces for the bumper are in those boxes. There is a picture of the underneath of the vehicle, and the only rust you can see would come off with a Brillo Pad. But we left it original so that the new owner could see how solid this car really is, not by hiding anything. Please look at all 200 pictures, because I don't think I missed anything. If you purchase this vehicle today, you could go camping tonight. You can head right out to California from Cleveland and not look back!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS.
