Description
**** Ive uploaded a video to youtube that I made today i think it will give anyone interested in the car a good idea of the condition of the car. I dont know how to add a link but ill tell you how to search it on youtube. If you go to youtube and search...1966 vw beetle in west chester pa,,,, you will find the video I hope it helps *** Thanks for looking at my 1966 beetle, ANY BID BUYS THIS CAR, or BUY IT NOW!!!!! This is a great little car it is NOT a show car. It is however a very nice, super solid, great running and driving West Coast car. I got this car out of Nevada about a year ago this way. ive done little to it. This car has to be one of the most solid vintage aircooled VWs ive owned it has had a repair to the pan under the battery (which isnt uncommon) which was done years ago and where the repair could have been done a little cleaner its perfectly safe and solid. Beyond that this cars pans, channels, framehead, inner fenders etc are MINT, finding another Beetle with OG pans and channels this clean on the East coast would be a tall order. All the brakes parts, shocks, steering parts etc have been gone thru and are in great working order it drives steers and stops very well. its got a nice new set of radial tires a little shorter and slightly wider in the rear on a nice set of stock style chrome wheels. The motor is a rebuilt 1776 its got a 110 cam 041 heads 009 dizzy and dual Kadron carbs it got a deep sump pan and a remote spin-on style filter. The motor is your typical mild build that was done well and correctly its had all high quality parts used and it shows the car runs very nicely it still uses a stock style exhaust which may cost a few horse power but it looks and sounds like a stock VW which I think is pretty cool when you pass people on the highway. This motor makes nice power and runs all the way out without a miss or hesitation it just hums right along. The clutch parts were done at the time of the motor rebuilt(around 10k miles) The body is clean and rust free its got a few chips and it may have a door ding as it is a driver the paint is decent nice higher driver quality paint job the whelting and gaskets are all fresh and black showing that the time was takien to paint the car apart all the window rubber and weatherstrip were replaced as well. The paint has a little flake or pearl in it its barely noticeable it looks nice I could live without it but its barely noticeable and looks nice. Overall the body and exterior are very nice. The interior is also straight and clean its had TMI stock style replacement soft parts put in its got an aftermarket Empi shifter again really nice driver quality inside needs nothing, The car was originally a 6v car its now 12v with an alternator all the lights work its got the euro style tailight lenses. The wiper motors a little slow I dont use it in the rain but just FYI. in all a great little car it looks very nice its runs very nicely its never been rusty its almost a completely rust free car everywhere they get bad this cars good. I cant say enough about it I recently had a car in the shop I drove it for 2 weeks solid day and nite to work etc without a hiccup. I cant keep the car Im gonna put a buy it now of $8500. and where its not a cheap car its the best "early style" Beetle your gonna find for that money Ive looked. Im going to start the auction at $7500 and any bid buys it. Feel free to ask any questions I have more pics and I can take more. If you want a great little early VW thats not shined up junk this is it id drive it anywhere and again its incredibly rust free. Thanks for looking. P.S. As I said I bought this car from out west well it doesnt get cold there so the car doesnt have bellows for the heat. everything else is there just not the bellows theyre 70 bucks I wasnt gonna use it in the winter but if you want to youll need the bellows. The good news is the channels are great so it will make great heat. Shippings on the buyer but ill help get it on the truck no problem.$500. dep due within 24 hours of end of auction, balance at time of purchase or within 7 days
