Thank you for your interest. I am quite firm on the price, but willing to be more flexible if buyer wants to exclude any parts (ie. wheels, seats, etc.). I will not consider trades and I am not parting it out. Buyers strongly urged to see car in person as it is a very special car.
A bit of history.Car was built in 2012 and has less than 5,000 miles on it since then.I purchased the car last year as I was in the market for a very clean VR6 swapped MKII.I purchased the car for the way it drives, and while the body and undercarriage are very clean and rust free, they are not perfect.See all pics and description below.
Since I purchased, I went through the whole car.All new fluids, added heat and ventilation, new speedo, horns, and so on.The biggest addition is a full flexfuel conversion. The car can run any percentage of ethanol utilizing a flexfuel sensor integrated with VEMs standalone.I will include the laptop used for tuning and data logging.Performance gains were substantial, as if the car needed more power...310WHP 290FT-LBS.
What sets this car apart from the other VR6 swapped VWs?First, it’s a Mk2 GTI title, not a converted golf.Second, cogged setups are rare and it may be the only cogged flex fuel 2.8L VR6.Original BBS RM wheels, not replicas, combined with vintage Recaros make the interior/exterior quite special.
List of some of the mods can be found below:
12v obd1 VR6, <5000 miles. All ARP hardware, oil pump, mk4 metal head gasket, Autotech 262 cams.

Full flexfuel conversion (fuel pump, injectors, flexfuel sensor, etc.).Car runs any ethanol content.VEMs adjusts all the curves accordingly.8 hours of dyno tuning ($1,000).Laptop used for tuning included with all associated maps.

Items that I didn’t get to…
The rear heckblende is cracked. I don’t care for it and had plans to remove, but didn’t get to it.
Hood and sunroof have a few very minor dings. I took pictures as best I could.
Driver’s side rear corner has 2” of cracked paint.
Headliner isn’t for everyone. I had a quote to replace with black Alcantara, but I came to like the current
Oil filter housing seal isn’t perfect. Probably needs a different O-Ring.
Great video of the original owner and builder with the car
