1966 VW Beetle California rust free unrestored

Description

I'm the 2nd owner of this VW Beetle which has been stored in my garage for the past 30 years. Rust free California car with a solid pan and original paint with spots of exterior surface rust and primer as pictured.

97,000 miles showing on the odometer. Still original 6 Volt car. Original 1300 cc motor. And original transmission. Starts right up, runs and shifts great. Doesn’t smoke or leak a drop.

The interior seats were recovered in the early 80’s, but the car still retains the original carpet, door panels and headliner. Factory radio delete. All gauges work, as do the lights, and so does the horn.

Older Michelin 165 SR 15 XZX tires hold air but, will probably need replacing. Does have its original spare tire and jack.

The brakes function but will need gone through. And the windshield is cracked.

The car is available for inspection at any time during this auction. Listed for sale locally, I reserve the right to end this auction early. The car is currently registered until July 2017. I have the “pink slip” in hand and in my name.
