Description

A True SoCal Beetle. Originally purchased through Wolff Motors in San Diego. All original owners manuals are included.
I purchased this bug from a friend who has owned it for the past 20 years. My original plan was to convert it to a Baja bug, however, I cant bring myself to cut this bug up. All that's needed is body/paint work.
Things I know of car-
Fresh built 1776 DP . Engine is a late case AS41 with Dual relief and deep stud #3. Dellorto 40. All machine work done by Paradise Motors in San Marcos, CANew Benco Freeway Flyer Trans with axles, tubes and 1 pc boots12 Volt conversion
Original seats and headliner-
I know car is original Panama Beige color but it has been painted at least once over. I'd say the paint job was semi-professionally done at best.
Pan has ZERO rust that I can see. The Body does have some rust spots, spots where the paint is lifting, and the passenger door has a dent that was pushed out. Wheels have small rust areas on them. Tires have tread but starting to crack. Bumpers look original and rust is starting to come through. Rubber weatherstripping looks original and is in ok condition. Front RH side looks like it might have been in a fender bender and looks repaired.
I believe the car has drop spindles.
Car starts up and drives great. Cruises right along, good sound system.
***Please note, this isn't a show car (Yet!) it needs some attention to the body, or you can drive it as it is as it still gets lots of looks. This is my first VW so if you would like more info or pictures of something, PLEASE ask. Car is located in Fallbrook, CA
