Mechanical
Less than 12k miles on fully rebuilt AHU TDI with a water cooled intercooler and Malone tuned ECU (eco tune) stock Vanagon diesel carrier bars, oil pan and bellhousing make it look factory. The transaxle was rebuilt by AA transaxle with taller 3rd 1.14 and 4th .70 gears. New clutch, starter and slave cylinder. New radiator and stainless coolant pipes. New lobro CV joints. New GW lift springs and bilstein xhd shocks. GW big brake kit with new wheel bearings, upper and lower ball joints and control arm bushings. Powdercoated Mercedes CLk wheels with d rated 215/65 Bfg Ko2s. Full size spare mounted in the factory location. Obdlink mx and tablet for monitoring vitals and scan codes.
Body
Color matched NAHT fiberglass high top with fantastic fan and sliding windows. Custom roof rack with (2) 100w solar panels and integrated awning mount and surfboard rack.
Majority of paint is original and shows well. Seams were scraped, sanblasted and resealed with 3m panel weld, then they were airbrushed factory color. Rust free body shows very well, there is some variation with the touched up panels but it shows well and looks great. She is definitely a cream puff.
Interior
She is a factory Westfalia, we literally pulled the factory stickers off the sink and stove as they were never used. New sink pump installed. The factory fridge was replaced with a TF 65 compressor fridge (not the smaller TF49). New 4D agm deep cycle battery installed under the bench seat. Bluesky mppt solar charge controller. House and start batteries are connected through an ACR. Led lighting and usb chargers added. Also an 10amp NOCO onboard smart charger. New propane tank and regulator. Swivel seats from a later model Vanagon with dual armrests. Rubber floor mats and truck bedliner in the cockpit. Cork flooring in the camper. Thetford portapotti. Curtains are new custom made of mudcloth. Window shades and screens for doors from gowesty. The hightop adds gobs of storage and makes it feel like an apartment on wheels. Ready to roll.
